@drvgee | The patriarchy strips people of identity and autonomy by subjecting them to conform to biased societal norms. the basic shapes and colors represent abstract authenticity even within the confines of anatomy and judgment created by patriarchal expectations. the painting will be placed over the neck to be seen as a brain. the brain symbolizes a unity that can be held by millions of connections. community and solidarity is a future that can be a reality. the plastic bag signifies personal healing. creating something out of recycled goods, otherwise considered trash, and turning it into something tangibly different or functional.
