@insidioustudios | The photographs are based on the treatment of femmes, AFABS, and women in society in general – whatever is perceived as simply not a man. The transparent sheets covering the model represent suffocation in society – sheets themselves are physically suffocating if left under them for too long – they can also demonstrate restriction and the inability to truly break the barriers we want to overcome in society due to these specific perceptions of femininity being seen as inferior to masculinity from the perceptions placed upon us by the patriarchy.
